What is RDP?

Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a technology that allows you to connect and control a computer from a different location, as if you were physically present in front of it. It's like having a virtual window into another machine. RDP facilitates remote access to files, applications, and the desktop of a computer over a network.

Here's how it works: The computer you want to access (the host) runs the RDP server software. The computer you are using to connect (the client) runs an RDP client software. When you initiate a connection, the client and server communicate to transmit your commands and the desktop's display.

RDP is widely used for various purposes, from IT support to remote work. It allows you to operate a computer in a different location, providing flexibility and accessibility.
